Challenge:

City Springs Elementary/Middle School has made improvements in reading and now wants to focus on improving math scores.

Intervention:

Starting with teacher observations, it was clear math instruction did not meet pacing or rigor expectations. Eurekii led a series of workshops that helped teachers understand the importance of pacing, raising expectations to include rigor, and building problem-solving and number sense skills. Teachers created goals and adopted strategies from the workshops.

Results:

NWEA scores in mathematics grew over 83.5% from 2022 to 2023. Over 48% of classes exceeded 100% projected growth in math for the year.
